Hello, this is M, the concept-cafe writer!
The long-yet-short Maidreamin feature is on its last installment this time! The final stronghold is the Maidreamin Main Store, which I'd saved for this moment! And for this occasion, I summoned a helper! By the seventh shop, I was worried I'd lose the freshness, so I met up with a friend who wanted to go to a maid cafe, and we headed to the main store!
The main store is on the sixth floor of a building even farther from the station than the Idol-dori store. Even the Idol-dori store is closing, so I was a little anxious about whether a shop in a place like this would be okay... But once I went inside... it was packed! I mean, it was a state where two people could barely sit!
Hearing my friend's wish that, when you come to a maid cafe, you've got to have them draw on the omurice, I ordered the mentaiko-sauce omurice and a carbonara. My friend was deeply moved by the "moe moe kyun." "It's gotten tasty!" they said, and indeed it was a deliciousness you wouldn't believe came from frozen food (can't say that out loud).
Since it was my second time with a Maidreamin app store stamp, I got a soft-drink service ticket and was treated to a cup of coffee, but I forgot to photograph this one and drank it first.
And then the live show began, and on the stage (see photo) the maids danced. Being the main store, they performed three songs in a row! They're original songs, and what's amazing is that the customers send back call-and-response cheers! A girl who had come in also kept repeating "so cute~" while watching the dancing maids. Meanwhile, this old man was nervous about the swaying skirts.
And this time I didn't forget. I safely got a penlight too. "Look, look~ the tip is shaped like the Maidreamin icon~" they said, and when I looked, indeed the penlight was a Maidreamin-exclusive one.
The signal for calling a maid is common across all stores: "nyan nyan." And this shop upheld it best, with maids even calling other maids using "nyan nyan." My friend was delighted that they keep the worldview consistent. "Just like Gundam, keeping the worldview is important. It's like the amazing Minovsky particles that you don't really know what they're for!" Sorry, my friend recently made their Gundam debut, so they were using Gundam analogies.
The bill came in the middle of the live show, but they told me I could stay until the show ended even after paying, so I thoroughly enjoyed the live show to my heart's content.
And so, that concludes the Maidreamin report!
